Safe Sanctuary: Safeguarding Our Children
ROCKbrook United Methodist Church desires to be a safe place for all children who attend. We believe that preventive steps must be taken to promote the safety of children and those who volunteer to work with them. RUMC has adopted a prevention program to reduce the possibility of child sexual abuse occurring in the congregation. All persons who undertake the control and supervision of a child, even without compensation, has the duty to use reasonable care to protect the child from injury. All staff (paid and unpaid), and anyone voluntarily working with RUMC children and youth are required to take our Safe Sanctuaries Training.
