Children's Ministry

Children's Sunday School: “The Quarry”…
providing a solid Christian foundation for our children.

9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Our children come to "The Quarry" each Sunday where the Bible is brought to life through Bible lessons, music, crafts and other fun activities. In addition to their weekly Bible lessons, children learn lively songs about Jesus in our Kids for Christ music program. Once a month, they are given the opportunity to borrow books from our church library. Our children also participate in various mission projects throughout the year, participate in our annual Christmas program, and help lead worship at various other times. The children are a vital part of Rockbrook United Methodist Church!

Our dedicated volunteers know that your child's spiritual growth is important to you. They are committed to loving, teaching and nurturing your child in a safe and happy environment. It is our goal to provide a solid foundation for your child’s Christian journey. Whether your child is just beginning to walk or heading into 6th Grade, we want them to enjoy Sunday mornings more than anything!

Safe Sanctuary: Safeguarding Our Children:

Rockbrook United Methodist Church desires to be a safe place for all children who attend. We believe that preventive steps must be taken to promote the safety of children and those who volunteer to work with them. RUMC has adopted a prevention program to reduce the possibility of child sexual abuse occurring in the congregation. All persons who undertake the control and supervision of a child, even without compensation, has the duty to use reasonable care to protect the child from injury. All staff (paid and unpaid), and anyone voluntarily working with RUMC children and youth are required to take our Safe Sanctuaries Training.
